Critical FL School Choice Deadlines
Tuesday, January 31 - Hamilton County Schools: The deadline to fill out an online application for the Magnet Program is January 31, 2012. Parents can apply online at www.hcde.org/magnet or can pick up an application at any magnet school in the district or at the Central Office located on Hickory Valley Road. Tuesday, January 31 - Collier County Schools: Applications for both 2012-2013 school choice and out-of-zone applications are now available. School choice applications must be completed by January 31st. Out-of-zone forms can be competed anytime but for priority consideration, the form must be completed by January 15th. Wednesday, February 1 - All Counties This is the deadline for new student applications for McKay Scholarships for Students with Disabilities. Applicants must apply by Feb. 1 in order to receive 25% of eligible scholarship funds for the 2011-12 school year. Students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) are eligible for the McKay scholarship and effective July 1, 2011, students with a 504 Plan are also eligible for the Scholarship, for more details: Click for Current McKay Eligibility Criteria or Click here to Apply for the McKay Scholarship
Friday, February 3 - Manatee County Schools: The application window for students to apply for open enrollment to a non-zoned school of their choice begins on January 17, 2012. All school choice applications must be postmarked by: Friday, February 3, 2012. Parents will be able to apply at all school sites or online at www.manateeschools.net once the application become available on Jan. 17.
